Attribution RX
Fully browser-native. No sign-up, no server, no data sent anywhere. Works offline after first load.
01 — Problem
Marketing teams tag URLs however they feel like it that day. One person writes Email, another writes email, a third writes newsletter. GA4 reads these as three different channels. Paid campaigns land in Direct. Reports become fiction. The problem isn't analytics — it's that UTM discipline breaks the moment more than one person is touching campaign links, and most teams have no enforcement layer beyond a shared doc that's already three versions out of date.
02 — Approach
Built a free, fully browser-based toolset with two components. The GA4 Attribution & UTM Reference documents how GA4 actually assigns channel credit — models, lookback windows, default grouping rules, naming conventions. The UTM Taxonomy Enforcer lets teams build compliant tagged URLs from controlled source and medium lists, audit existing URLs for errors, bulk-edit via CSV, and maintain a local tagging history. No server, no sign-up, no data sent anywhere.
03 — Result
Released as open tooling with a sponsorship model sustaining ongoing development. Used by analysts and marketing teams who need attribution clarity without a paid platform or a vendor contract.
